Recreation Softball
Recreation Softball is the foundation of softball in Maplewood and South Orange. Recreation Softball is for all players regardless of ability. Divisions are grouped by grade level, everyone makes a team and every player plays. The focus is on having fun, learning the sport and teamwork.
Volunteers
MSO Softball is a 100% volunteer organization, from our coaches to our committee members. We are parents, community members and neighbors. MSO is always looking for volunteers, rec coaches, travel coaches, dugout directors and snack coordinators. Check out all the opportunities to support girls’ softball here in Maplewood and South Orange.

Travel Softball
MSO has a very successful town travel program, The Villagers. The Villagers is for dedicated and serious softball players looking to take their softball game to the next level. Our goal is to develop highly competitive players in a town travel environment by balancing fun with a drive for winning while teaching good sportsmanship and life skills. Teams are selected through a tryout process.
